Carlogie Dam

Carlogie Dam was attended by five members and the catch rate was way down due to the recent hot spell and conditions.

With fish associated with the cold water climate, you won’t find many fishermen hitting fishery waters until the tempeture cools down or until the evening sessions.

Fishery managers will be cursing the hot weather as more and more fly fishers stay in the back garden with the beer and the barbecues.

The water was well above the level of required heat for the stocky bashers and the fish.  Hard times are forecasted ahead as the heat spell continues.

Sinking lines and Boobies are the favourite at the moment, but with the heat level of the water even these tactics are failing to produce results for some at the moment.

Nice venue pleasant staff, Catch rates low.

The only winner today was Willie Wasp on holiday in England, Who stays out in front in the championship race.
